Christmas List Has Sunglasses On It?

It does seem like a bit of a strange thing to say but the Christmas period could be a key time to be wearing the sunglasses. But why is this?

Sunlight

It is hard to believe that through the misery of the clouds there are still harmful UV lights pushing on through. Just because it is cold on a sunny day it doesn’t mean that the sun isn’t as powerful so make sure that if the sun is out you are wearing those sunglasses as they will really help you out. It is always best just to pop them on when it is sunny as the damage caused on the eyes by the sun can be really bad.

How is it possible for the sun to come through the clouds and damage my eyes on a cold day?

One of the major problems are that UV rays are invisible which means you can never tell if they are pushing through or not. Do not go too far with it though, there is simply no need to wear them if it is chucking it down outside but take them with you if it is cloudy in case the sun breaks through. The major problem is that the UV light will go into the eyes and start to cause a reaction in the tissue. Once this damage has been done there is no way it can be reversed which is why it is so important that you wear those ray ban sunglasses.

  • Eye Disease
  • The sun can play a really big role in these diseases:
  • Cataract
  • Pteryguim
  • Skin Cancer
  • Age- Related Macular Degeneration

So as you can see it is certainly worth getting those sunglasses out. If you already where glasses then do not worry as you can get prescription sunglasses that are made for the sun!

So this winter make sure that even if it is a bit chilly out that you at least have your sunglasses with you to make sure your eyes are fully protected.
